Service Areas
At NOAS, we strive for lifelong permanency for current and former foster youth by recruiting, preparing, and supporting families and positive connections, with a multitude of services.
Foster Care:
We strive to meet the urgent need for temporary foster caregivers at NOAS. There are more than 15,000 children in foster care in Ohio, but only approximately 7,000 foster families are available to meet this need. Learn more about becoming a NOAS Foster Caregiver.
Trauma-Informed Parenting Programs:
To help caregivers and professionals understand and navigate the impact of trauma on youth, we offer Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) and CORE Teen (Critical Ongoing Resource Family Education) training programs and parenting classes with in-home coaching.
Bridges Program:
NOAS provides services available through Bridges, a post-emancipation support program in Ohio that extends housing and other supportive services to eligible former foster youth. The program provides guidance and support as they transition to adulthood.
Foster To Adopt:
NOAS is dedicated to developing and supporting lifelong adoptive families for children who cannot be reunited with their families of origin. Our professional team provides support and guidance to families who want to provide a lifelong connection to foster children and teens.
NOAS is committed to meeting children, families and young adults where they are and providing the necessary support for them to thrive.
NOAS is the pre-eminent adoption, foster care and mentoring resources for children, families, and Ohio’s child welfare agencies. We are proud to partner with 30 Counties and work with families in a 90-minute radius area from Warren, Ohio. We envision the day when there is a life-long family and or connection for every child.
NOAS is a proud partner of the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids® program, which is the signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and establishes innovative co-investment partnerships with states to support the hiring of adoption recruiters who implement an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model.
This model has proven to be up to three times more effective at serving children who have been in foster care the longest, including teenagers, sibling groups, and children with special needs.
NOAS is proud to become a partner with Project MKC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Youngstown, dedicated to serving the most vulnerable children in Northeast Ohio. As a result of this project, we can provide diapers, wipes, and hygiene items to the young adults in our Bridges program. Prices are constantly rising, so we know it is challenging for many at this time. Our young adults with children will particularly benefit from this partnership.
