Joey K, Age 16

Joey is such an interesting and gentle hearted young man! He has an amazing imagination and a vast knowledge of all sorts of different vehicles. Joey can be incredibly helpful and would love the chance to help his family with the yard work. Joey also loves to learn about hands on tasks and genuinely enjoys tinkering with things to figure out how they work. Once Joey cares about someone he wants to take care of them and protect them.

Joey really wants to find a family he can trust, that will give him the attention he longs for and deserves. He has been in a residential treatment program for a considerable amount of time, and truly needs a family patient enough to help him with his social skills and managing his feelings. He would love a two parent household and would really like a Dad, but is open to any family that would love and accept him. He would be happiest in a home with some land to work on and ride go-carts or ATVs. Joey worries that he will never have a forever family and is desperate to be accepted by someone. Could you be that family?

Become A Mentor To A Local Foster Youth

Ordinary things like forming safe and lasting relationships, problem-solving, goal setting, applying for college, and setting boundaries can be a great challenge for foster youth.

A caring and well-trained mentor can inspire and guide a foster youth ages 12-17, or a former foster youth ages 18-21, to pursue a productive future and reach his or her full potential. Mentor One Who Needs Someone.
