Amber, Age 17

Amber loves participating in Zumba and yoga. Amber also enjoys playing softball. She does value her time indoors as well and can always be found with a good book in her hand. Amber is a thrill seeker. She can’t wait for the next time she’ll be able to ride the roller coasters at Cedar Point. Amber is going into 10th grade. Her favorite subject is math since it comes easy to her. She hopes to become a counselor someday to help other kids in foster care. Amber’s favorite foods are cheese pizza and fries.

Amber really wants to find a family she can trust. She desires a family who has the time to devote to help her when she needs it. Amber feels she would benefit from at least one stay-at-home parent but is open to any family structure. She was raised in the Nazarene faith and would love to attend any Christian church with her forever family. She also looks forward to family movie night, playing cards or shopping trips to the local mall. She really misses her siblings and needs a family who would be committed to maintaining those relationships. Are you the family who can help make that happen?

Become A Mentor To A Local Foster Youth

Ordinary things like forming safe and lasting relationships, problem solving, goal setting, applying for college, and setting boundaries can be a great challenge for foster youth.

A caring and well-trained mentor can inspire and guide a foster youth ages 12-17, or a former foster youth ages 18-21, to pursue a productive future and reach his or her full potential. Mentor One Who Needs Someone.
