Alex M, Age 17

Alex is very athletic. He enjoys playing several different sports, but football & basketball are his favorites! He’s also a fan of the Cavs & Buckeyes. Alex enjoys drawing and hanging out at the community swimming pool. Alex also loves to eat – Subway is his top pick! He is a good student and hopes to become an engineer someday. Alex would love to vacation in Florida so that he could see the ocean for the very first time.

Alex has struggled in his relationships with maternal figures. He believes he would do better with a single dad or two dads. Alex would ideally like to live in the country – possibly on a farm – where he could be surrounded by animals such as horses, chickens, dogs and cats. He dreams of a family who will take him to see zoos all around the country. Alex says that what’s most important to him is having a family who will treat him with respect, give him choices and will be there for him unconditionally. Could your family provide him with the forever home for which he longs?

Become A Mentor To A Local Foster Youth

Ordinary things like forming safe and lasting relationships, problem solving, goal setting, applying for college, and setting boundaries can be a great challenge for foster youth.

A caring and well-trained mentor can inspire and guide a foster youth ages 12-17, or a former foster youth ages 18-21, to pursue a productive future and reach his or her full potential. Mentor One Who Needs Someone.
