Why Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is easy and can have a profound impact on you and your employee engagement all while helping children find life long permanent connections with families in your own backyard. It helps to make it a social effort. You  can encourage your team members-owners to join together in an activity that builds teamwork, promotes collaboration and allows everyone to interact. In return, you and your employer give back to children in foster care.

Make your giving back program fun and unique. You can capture donations in a variety of ways, such as events, games, and challenges. Try one of these ideas or come up with your own activity that fits your workplace.

Dress Down Fridays

If your office has a strict dress code, offering employees the chance to dress down in exchange for a few dollars, can be a great way to raise money to support foster children. At the end of each month collect all the money you have raised and then donate it.

Coffee for a Cause

Offering coffee at your office is a great way for employees to make a donation to create a difference in a foster child’s life and get their caffeine fix at the same time. At the end of each month collect all the money you have raised and then donate it.

Hold a Small Raffle

Raffling off something fun (such as the most convenient parking space) and then donating the proceeds is a great way to help foster children.

Bean Bag Tournament

Participate in a two-person team bean bag tournament or corn hole tournament. Set a team entry fee, for example $10 per team. Teams could donate more if they wanted. The winner? Well, they get bragging rights.

Company Match

Ask your employer if they would be willing to start a donation matching program.
